ReviewSend is a SaaS platform that allows local businesses to send SMS review request messages to their customers after a completed service or transaction. This page documents exactly how customer consent is obtained, how phone numbers are collected, and how the opt-out process works.
Messages are only sent to customers who have voluntarily provided their phone number directly to the business. No cold texting, purchased lists, or third-party lead lists are permitted on the ReviewSend platform under any circumstances.
Point-of-Service Consent Script
The following is the exact verbal script used by ReviewSend business owners when obtaining customer consent at the point of service. This script is provided to all businesses on the platform and represents the standard opt-in interaction.
The business owner then enters the customer's name and phone number into the ReviewSend platform. One SMS is sent. No further messages are sent unless the customer visits again and provides consent again at that time. The customer may reply STOP at any time to opt out. Message frequency: one message per visit/transaction.
How Customer Consent Is Obtained
ReviewSend operates exclusively on a verbal consent at point of service model. The complete opt-in process works as follows:
- 1 A customer visits a participating local business — restaurant, salon, auto shop, spa, medical office, or similar service provider.
- 2 After the service is completed, the business owner or staff member verbally asks the customer: "Would you like to receive a text message with a link to leave us a Google or Yelp review?"
- 3 The customer verbally agrees and voluntarily provides their name and phone number directly to the business. No number is collected without this explicit verbal consent.
- 4 The business owner or staff member enters the customer's name and phone number into the ReviewSend platform at app.reviewsend.io. Businesses are required by ReviewSend's Terms of Service to confirm that consent was obtained before sending.
- 5 A single one-time SMS review request is sent to the customer's phone number. No further messages are sent unless the customer visits the business again and provides consent again at that time.
- 6 Every message includes the business name, the reason the customer is receiving the text, a direct link to the review page, and opt-out instructions (Reply STOP to opt out).

No Purchased Lists or Third-Party Data
ReviewSend does not purchase, rent, acquire, or use any third-party phone number lists. Every phone number entered into the platform has been:
- Voluntarily provided by the customer directly to the business
- Collected at the point of service after explicit verbal consent was obtained
- Entered manually by the business owner or staff member into the ReviewSend platform
Businesses using ReviewSend are required by our Terms of Service to confirm they have obtained verbal consent before sending any message. Businesses that violate this policy are subject to immediate account termination. No cold texting, unsolicited messaging, or use of purchased contact lists is permitted under any circumstances.
Opt-Out Process
Customers can opt out at any time using any of the following methods:
- Reply STOP to any message — immediately and permanently removes the customer from that business's messaging list
- Reply HELP to any message for assistance
- Reply START to re-subscribe at any time
- Contact ReviewSend directly at support.reviewsend@gmail.com
Upon receiving a STOP reply, the customer immediately receives a single one-time confirmation message and no further messages are sent. The opt-out is permanent unless the customer explicitly re-consents at a future visit.

Message Frequency
ReviewSend sends a maximum of one SMS message per customer per review request. There are no recurring messages, no automated follow-up sequences, no drip campaigns, and no subscription messages. Message frequency is entirely determined by how often a customer visits the business and voluntarily provides consent at each visit.
Data Privacy
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information collected through the ReviewSend platform are never shared with, sold to, or transferred to any third party. Phone numbers are used solely to deliver the single review request SMS on behalf of the business. Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.
Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on the recipient's mobile carrier and plan. ReviewSend does not charge customers for receiving messages.
TCPA Compliance
All SMS messages sent through ReviewSend are sent in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and all applicable carrier regulations. Consent is obtained prior to sending any message. Opt-out requests are honored immediately. No autodialers or pre-recorded voice messages are used.
